Classic bike insurance.

Hi Guys
As some of you may recall, I’ve been chasing to try to get a group insurance deal. By happy coincidence, the recent Speedshow in Auckland had a Classics Competition sponsored by Classic Cover Insurance. Maybe us winning two prizes helped (???) however after quite a few discussions they’ve come up with a deal for us which I think is pretty good. This is certainly the best deal I’ve been able to find … but if anyone knows of a better one please do let me know. Classic Cover have said they are willing to offer this deal to anyone who has an association with the Classic Japanese Motorcycle Group … and given that I’ve just sent you this email, then consider yourselves as “associated”. You will need to mention CJMG to get the deal.
The details are in the two docs attached. The first is a summary of the key points (as below) and the 2nd the official policy doc. Summary details are:

· Agreed Value
· Pre 1988 motorcycles
· Premium based on 5,000km per annum, higher annual mileage options available at an additional cost
· Must be locked or in a locked garage
· Can be ridden by anyone approved by the owner, providing they are 30 years or older and have had a full motorcycle licence for more than 2 years
· Premium is based on maximum insured value of $15,000. Premiums can be provided for higher value motorcycles and higher excesses would apply
· Excess $100
· Covers all of New Zealand (except Great Barrier and Chatham Islands)
· Annual Premium of $94.30. This including FSL and GST
· Salvage will be paid from anywhere in New Zealand to the nominated repairer of your choice
